We are a licensed Family Day Care operated out of our home. We strive to keep a family setting while also working with each child to make sure they know everything they need to know when they start kindergarden.

This mornings craft was a snowman made from circles, squares, triangles, diamonds and rectangles. They watched part of the movie "The Adventures of Scamper" ( a "winter" movie about a penguin).

Today we colored a winter picture, read the "Winter" section in "Adventures in Science", and "Bear Cub FInds a Friend", sang some songs, practiced the alphabet and a few letter sounds and did "Five Little Ducks" and "Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed".

We had a great day today! Everyone got along real good and did real good at playing constructively during free play. We did "Matching" worksheets and colored some pictures for a craft we'll finish tomorrow. Then we sang some action songs, practiced the alphabet and some of the letter sounds, read a book about ways to stay healthy and read "The Runaway Bunny", sang some more songs and did some finger plays.
