"Blue Day" Thursday Sept. 17

Today we talked about the color blue...

4-5 year old cut, matched and glued letters. I pointed to each letter of the alphabet as they sang the "Alphabet Song" from A-Z the from Z-A.Then I called out different letters of the alphabet and they pointed them out.
We looked around the house for all the blue things we could find. One thing they found was the sling.Time on the floor with Mary and toys is always a special time. When it's rainy and everyone is stuck in the house, puzzles are always a must! At storytime we sang Good Morning To You", "This is The Day", and "My God Is So Big". We read "Brown Bear Brown Bear What Do You See" and the "Colors" book. The "Colors" book had a lot of counting, identifying and describing activities.

Breakfast- Pancakes, Orange Juice, Milk
Lunch- Pizza, Corn, Applesause, Cheese Slices, Milk
Snack- Peanut Butter Ritz Sandwiches, White Grape Juice
This afternoon we worked on the practiced the hrad G sound and circled pictures that began with the hard G sound. We also did the "Identifying Color Words and Following the Color Code" page in our workbooks. Then we practiced counting to 20, dividing four diffent colors of crayons into groups of 5, and simple addition.
